latest project - new audio guides to wildlife
Scripting and recording is to start soon on a project to record two new audio guides for the Arizona Watchable Wildlife Experience. With funding from the AZ Game & Fish Dept's Heritage Fund, Rose Houk & I will be creating guides for the Raymond Wildlife Area and Mormon Lake, both located in northern Arizona, east and south of Flagstaff. Species to be featured will include: buffalo, burrowing owls, ospreys and much more. You can hear the existing guides at:
'Intimate Expanse' - voices for the colorado plateau opens 6th April at the Museum of northern arizona
In October of 2017, the Grand Canyon Trust took 12 Flagstaff artists to the far-reaching northern rim of the Grand Canyon, to a small ex-Mormon ranch. Quiet and isolated within House Rock Valley, Kane Ranch became a weekend home for the three-day Kane Ranch Artist Retreat. The artists discussed conservation issues surrounding Colorado Plateau - including uranium mining & social injustices on tribal lands, as well as the shrinkage of two national monuments, Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante. Now the art inspired by that weekend has been compiled into the Museum of Northern Arizona’s new, interactive exhibit, Voices for the Colorado Plateau: An Intimate Expanse. From 6th April you can see the paintings, lithographs, photography and ceramic art -- AND hear a sound montage and museum audio guide which I made as part of the exhibit at:
